About this Video
This video is based on Dr. B. R. Ambedkar’s unspoken speech and his letters written around Annihilation of Caste. In 1936, Ambedkar was invited to preside over a conference in Lahore, but his speech was never delivered. The ideas were considered too radical, too unsettling for the social and religious order of the time. Rather than dilute a single word, Ambedkar chose to withdraw and later publish the text for the public to judge. What followed was not a call for reform, but for the complete destruction of caste as a system rooted in religious authority. This narration draws from that suppressed speech and Ambedkar’s correspondence, confronting the uncomfortable truths he placed before Indian society—truths that remain deeply relevant today.
