About this Video
It's easy to find me because all socials are @RaghavMandava This new show, “How Is This Allowed?”, asks a simple question: either it’s all okay, or none of it’s okay. Comedians are always getting dragged into controversies, whether it’s a stand-up set, a joke, or something taken out of context. But what the Indian public seems to completely ignore is advertising in India. Whether it’s surrogate advertising for banned products or the fake moral messaging behind big-budget commercials, it baffles me that people don’t get annoyed. Why does advertising get a free pass in India? Is it because multi-million-dollar companies fund politicians and elections? Is it because the Indian audience isn’t wired to question brands and corporations? Or is it simply because people don’t think for themselves and only get outraged about whatever they’re told to be outraged about? I would like the same standards placed on artists to apply to corporates, politicians and mass media Chapters 00:00 - 01:48 Introduction 01:48 - 03:12 Gods Selling AirFreshner 03:12 - 06:00 Poison Without Warning 06:00 - 13:01 Booze loves Feminism 13:01 - 17:30 Sex on TV not on stage Music Credits incomptech.com https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2SezBs7ZaYI
