She heads Meralta Films, a production company specializing in documentary and non-fiction content. She received the Albert Maysles New Documentary Director Award at the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival for her debut feature documentary *A Suitable Girl*, co-directed with Sarita Khurana. Mundhra is also the creator and executive producer of Netflix’s original reality series *Indian Matchmaking*.
