Maheep Singh is a Delhi-based stand-up comedian, playwright and lyricist often billed as the Gujarati Sardar for his hybrid cultural voice. Born in Patiala in 1975, he came to stand-up in 2013 after nearly two decades as a translator and copyeditor, making his debut on the Delhi open-mic scene. He once shared Comedy Central's Best Stand-up Comedian honour with Zakir Khan and went on to found the New Delhi Comedy Club, where he also curates humour festivals.
