Manan Desai is an Ahmedabad-based stand-up comedian, writer and radio host, and a co-founder of The Comedy Factory, the collective widely credited with pioneering urban stand-up comedy in Gujarat. Before turning to comedy full time he spent several years as a prime-time RJ on Radio Mirchi and MY FM in Gujarat. He launched The Comedy Factory in 2011, and the group has since produced stand-up, sketch, improv and musical comedy in Gujarati, Hindi and English. His Gujarati-language solo Ashudh Gujarati is a touring fixture, and the collective's YouTube channel has built a loyal regional fan base.
