Ravi Gupta is a Delhi-based stand-up comedian who has been performing since 2015, working under the handle Shudh Desi Comic. Originally from Pratapgarh in Uttar Pradesh, he trained in applied arts and illustration at Banaras Hindu University before moving into comedy. He performs largely in Hindi, leaning on real-life family stories, middle-class anxieties and viral one-liners about savings and ambition. His YouTube channel has grown a sizeable audience and he tours independent shows across India.
