Career Start
Vasu Primlani is a Delhi-bred stand-up comedian, environmentalist and academic whose sets pair socially conscious satire with personal storytelling. Trained at UCLA in geography, urban planning and law, she splits her work between the comedy stage and environmental advocacy, and is the first comedian to receive India's Nari Shakti Puraskar, awarded to her by the Government of India in 2015. She has headlined comedy rooms in Indian metros and abroad, taking on subjects like climate, gender and human rights, and is also a somatic therapist, triathlete and motivational speaker. Her 2024 graphic novel JUTA marked her debut as an author.
