About this Video

We would like to dedicate this to Samir Sharma, who passed away last year. We never wanted to release it, but we think that everyone should get to see all his work. This was the almost full pilot of a show called NRI, that was the brain child of Brij Bhakta. Sam and Brij outlined a lot of the episodes and arcs and Sam had fleshed out a lot of the story with Brij. And we all worked on it together for a long time, because we were clear about the style, treatment and pace of the show. There were two scenes that were impossible to shoot, since it wasn't a commissioned pilot. It was shot in 2015 and was selected for MAMI too. Unfortunately, it didn't go any further. OML was truly helpful in producing this. There were so many people and favours that we called in for this and everyone did it for the love of it. Vipul Mathur, Vishal Sinha, Sameeruddin and EVERYONE in the credits is truly instrumental in making it come alive. Thank you for doing what you did and how you did it.
