Papa vs Beta: a Hindi stand-up comedy story about Middle-class trauma, Dating hacks, Notebooks, and a disease called Gupt Rog. “Crorepati” feels like a fictional creature. And I blame our parents. Especially mine. If my father had earned just a bit more, I might’ve had Classmate notebooks, a decent dating life, and guilt-free access to Pay & Use toilets. In this video, I share a few childhood stories – silly middle-class family fights, my hack for beating loneliness in metro cities, and our fathers’ talent for disrespecting everything except their work. Now that I’m older, I’ve realised two things: 1. My father gave me something better than crores: he believed in me 2. Necessity may be the mother of invention, but it’s also the father of imaginary girlfriends This is my second YouTube video. And it’s dedicated to Papa.
