I applied for a job faking as a woman and got selected. No one found out about it for a month because it was a remote job. At all times, I kept my camera off and changed my voice using AI. I was the only woman in the team, so everyone was happy. But I was always scared inside. To stay in character, I started living as a woman in real life too. One day we heard the rumour that my Manager had to fire one person from our team. Rumour was, he’d pick me because of my exceptionally poor performance. I panicked. This was the best job I’d ever had. The next day, I told my manager that I was pregnant. He knew firing me now could mean legal trouble. So he didn’t. Instead, he checked in on me often. Sweet guy. I felt so loved that I convinced my husband to have a child. It’s been nine months. Yesterday I was blessed with a baby boy. Delivery was smooth, thanks to the maternity leave.
